Presidential Aide Debunks Rumour Of Aisha Buhari Relocating To Dubai, Says She Only Travelled For Medical Checkup

The Nigerian presidency has dismissed a report claiming that the Nigerian First Lady, Aisha Buhari fled out of Nigeria as a result of insecurity.

According to Leadership, an aide of the president’s wife, Kabiru Dodo disclosed that Aisha traveled out of the country for a medical checkup.

Dodo made the disclosure Jalingo, the Taraba state capital when he attended an event on behalf of the Foundation of the First Lady.

He said the First Lady has no reason to run away over safety concerns, having been in Nigeria even when the country was experiencing problems of security prior to her husband’s administration.

The aide said:

“The First Lady travelled for her medical trip, she did not fled the country because of insecurity, she left her children, her husband and family in Nigeria, what people are saying is baseless and worth nothing to be considered.
“I want to tell the whole world that I do speak to her on daily basis and she is ready to return to the country as soon as she is done with the medical treatment abroad.”

In another report, Femi Adesina, a presidential aide, has urged Nigerians to be thankful that cases of bombings do not occur frequently as they used to prior to the Buhari administration.

The senior special adviser on media and publicity to the president made the statement on Sunday, December 20, during an appearance on Channel TV’s programme, Sunday Politics

He pleaded for Nigerians to continue to exercise patience with the federal government especially with regards to issues of insecurity in the country.
