The governor of Lagos state, Akinwunmi Ambode, has once again put a smile on the faces of Lagos residents as he signed the law prohibiting Land grabbing (popularly known as omo onile) in Lagos on Monday.
He revealed that the Lagos state Properties Protection Law will give legal backing to the operations of our law enforcement officers.
This has paved way for future land owners, investors and businessmen in Lagos to carry out their land/property transactions without the fear of those swindlers.
According to him, “The Properties law will eliminate the activities of persons or corporate entities who use force and intimidation to dispossess or prevent any person or entity from acquiring legitimate interest and possession of property”.
The signing was witnessed by Lagos State House of Assembly Speaker, Mudashiru Obasa and the Chairman Ikeja Branch of Nigeria Bar Association (NBA), Dele Oloke.
