It was a very sad day for the people of Akowa in Ideato North Local Government Area of Imo state as at least 6 people are feared dead following a fatal clash between them and the Hausas living in the community.
This sad occurrence happened yesterday, Friday the 12th of August, and it led to the loss of lives and property as the place was in total chaos.
It all started when an Hausa man reportedly killed two indigenes and took his own life afterwards. This led to a retaliation by the residents and some other lives were lost.
According to Okeoma News, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, in the state, Mr Andrew Enwerem, a Deputy Superintendent of police, DSP, said that his office has received a report that three persons were killed in the attack, while several others were injured and receiving treatments at various hospitals.
