First Female Saudi Arabian Sprinter In Rio 2016 Makes History By Competing In Hijab

The first Saudi Arabian woman to compete in 100m at the Olympics, Kariman Abuljadayel, has made history by wearing her Hijab as a sign of respect to her religion while sprinting. She is one of four females from Saudi Arabia to be taking part in the Rio games
The 22 year old shocked the crowd when she appeared in her full kit and has gained respect for herself from around the world. She finished seventh in her first round and could not qualify for the finals.
