Restaurant Owner Bans Bankers From His Restaurant For Denying Him Loan

A top restaurant owner, Alexandre Callet, has banned bankers from dining at his restaurant, Les Ecuries de Richelieu, in Paris. He made this decision after several banks refused him a 70,000 Euro loan to open a second branch. He has a blackboard outside his restaurant that reads: “Dogs accepted, bankers banned, unless they pay an entry fee of €70,000,”

He has since received an apology from a bank director and according to Daily Telegraph, The Qatari embassy in Paris has since offered him help, linking him to a bank in the gas- and oil-rich Gulf state but he rejected the offer saying he didn’t want to deal with banks anymore and he’d had to put the plan for a second branch on hold.
