Hassle Free Visa Countries For Nigerian Passport Holders

Having an international passport from Nigeria allows you to visit fifteen (15) member countries in ECOWAS (Economic Community of West African States) which is located in the Western African region. The e-Passport also allows free movement between member countries without applying for a visa as a Nigerian citizen.

Nigerian passport holders can also visit some countries in other parts of Africa, Asia , North America and Oceania without having to go through the hassles of applying for a visa at their respective embassies, consulates or visa application centers in Nigeria.

According to the Visa Restrictions Index in 2015, Nigerian passport was ranked 91st in the world tied with countries like Cameroon, Central African Republic, Comoros and Jordan.

Some of the countries listed below are visa free, some of which you can obtain your visa on arrival paying a fee, and for others, you can obtain your visa online.

Kindly Note: International passports should be valid for at least six (6) months before leaving your home country. Visitors intending to stay more than the specified days are required to hold a valid visa. For countries outside ECOWAS, visitors are expected to have sufficient funds to cover their stay and a return ticket otherwise you might be refused entry.
