Three days ago, Adele released the video for her new single ‘Hello’, taken from her new album 25 which will be out 20 November following her debut 19 and breakthrough 21.
She said “I feel like the idea of calling the albums after my age is sort of like taking a photograph of my life,”.
The 27-year-old singer told Apple Music, adding that “the magnitude of stuff that’s happened” when she was 25 – including the birth of her son. However, this will be the last Adele album to bear a number as its title, as Adele revealed, “25 is the perfect age to end the albums named after my age.”
The song ‘Hello’ is already a massive hit with over 47 million views three days after the video was released.
The song got everyone think of Lionel Richie, and fans were also quick to point out Lionel Richie’s song ‘Hello’ which was released in 1983, because they both share same title and a few similarities.
Lionel Richie shared the photo below and tagged Adele with the caption, “Hello, Is it me you are looking for”. We hope they release a song together. When asked on BBC radio 1 breakfast show if she looks forward to working with Richie, Adele said “we’ve definitely got to do something, me and Lionel.”
We hope this picture is a sign of an approval from Lionel.
