CELEB OF THE DAY – Kate Henshaw

Kate Henshaw was born on the 19th of July, 1971 and was born in Cross River State which is where she hails from. She is the eldest of four children. She read remedial studies for one year at the University of Calabar but she graduated as a Medical Mircobiologist from the School of Medical Lab Science, LUTH (Lagos University Teaching Hospital) in Lagos.

She started out as a model before venturing into acting. Her first major movie role was in 1993 where she played the lead role in a movie titled ‘When the sun sets’ and has since acted in over 80 Nollywood movies and soap operas. Kate won the award for Best Actress in a Leading Role in the 2008  Africa Movie Academy Award. She is currently the face of Onga, a Brand Ambassador Of SpacePointe and a judge in the Nigeria’s Got Talent reality show.

Kate Henshaw got married to Rod Nuttal in the year 2000 but they had to go their separate ways due to irreconcilable differences. She has a beautiful daughter from the marriage. Kate has since moved on with her life and she turned out to be a very successful and happy woman.
